Recently, The British Plastics Federation (BPF) celebrated its 90th Anniversary Dinner in style, and Condale Plastics was right in the heart of the action!
Our Managing Director Michael Stewart and our Technical Sales Engineer Dan Foster travelled to London on 12th October to attend the prestigious event, which united over 500 guests from all areas of the plastics industry.
The evening was filled with excitement and inspiration, as industry leaders came together to celebrate the past, present, and future of the plastics industry. There was a fun and insightful ‘Polymer Trumps’ card game gift and celebrations of success as BPF’s president, Nigel Flowers, announced the winners of the BPF Gold Medal Award (Dr Robin Kent), the BPF Energy Award (James Walker & Co of Cockermouth) and the BPF Horners Award (Ridgidrain, by Polypipe Civils and Green Urbanisation).
Ed Balls, the renowned political figure, broadcaster, writer, economist, and former contestant on “Strictly Come Dancing,” delivered a speech that left a lasting impression on everyone present. His engaging words resonated with the audience, providing a unique perspective on leadership, challenges, and the importance of innovation.
Michael and Dan were not only inspired by Ed’s speech, but they also had the opportunity to chat with him and snap a few photos. It’s not every day that you get to meet someone as distinguished as Ed Balls, and they were grateful for the experience.
As we reflect on this incredible evening at the BPF 90th Anniversary Dinner, we’re reminded of the dynamic and innovative nature of the plastics industry. It’s a testament to the progress and evolution that has taken place over the last 90 years, and we’re excited to be part of its future.
So if you’ve got a plastics extrusion project coming up, and don’t want to ‘Balls it up’… ;-P …, then do get in touch with the Condale Team to make sure you’re on the ‘Ball’ with it… ;-P
